Add configuration for SC+ customers to switch on/off related features

▶ Watch the video walkthrough     This update introduces a powerful toggle setting designed to provide you with greater flexibility in tailoring your environment to meet your specific needs. With this enhancement, you now have the ability to activate or deactivate a setting using a simple toggle switch. This setting controls the visibility of certain fields within the system. When enabled, fields such as the BE Code in both Network > Customers and Network > Suppliers will be marked as mandatory. If the setting is turned off, these fields will no longer be required, and the "Re-submit to MODS" button in Bookings will be shown or hidden based on your preference. By default, all related fields will be hidden. To view these fields, users must manually toggle the setting on. Existing customers will have access to all relevant fields, while new customers will not see these fields unless the setting is specifically configured for them. This update is designed to enhance your user experience by offering a more customizable interface that adapts to your individual requirements. In this tutorial, we'll guide you through how to access and adjust this setting from the system settings menu, empowering you to take full control of your environment. Let's get started on customizing your user interface to better fit your needs.   1. Introduction   2. Click "Settings" Access the Settings menu. 3. Roles & Permissions (SC)

Introduction Through Access Rules and Groups, the Admin can define roles and permissions for each type of user. This ensures that users have appropriate access levels to different system functionalities. Configuring Roles and Permissions Navigating to Access Rules & Groups 1. Go to the Settings screen. 2. Select the Members option. 3. Open the Access Rules & Groups tab. Defining Access Rules 1. Click “+ Add New” to create a new access rule. 2. Enter the Access Rule Name. 3. Optionally, provide a Description for clarity. 4. Define permissions for all system functionalities, including: - Dashboard - Sales - Operations - Warehousing - Reports - Network - Settings 5. Specify whether a user can view only or edit each section. Creating Groups and Assigning Users Once Access Rules are defined, navigate to the Groups section. 1. Create a new group that follows the previously configured rules. 2. View and manage the users assigned to each group. Assigning Groups to Users In the User Profile, the Admin only needs to assign the appropriate Group. This ensures the user inherits all predefined permissions automatically. Best Practices - Clearly define roles before creating access rules to avoid unnecessary modifications later. - Regularly review permissions to ensure they align with business needs. - Use descriptive names and descriptions for Access Rules to make management easier. Conclusion By following these steps, Admins can efficiently manage user access, ensuring security and appropriate permission levels across the system. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to support. 1. Access Rules = What someone can do Access Rules define the permissions, for example: - Can view reports - Can edit shipments - Can manage users These are the atomic actions, the building blocks of access control. 2. Groups = Who gets which access rules Groups are collections of users bundled together for reuse and simplicity. Instead of assigning permissions user-by-user, we assign them to a group and just place the user in the right group. This setup allows: - Faster onboarding/offboarding - Centralized updates to permissions (change it once in the group, and it applies to everyone in that group) - A cleaner, more understandable model (e.g., “Warehouse Staff” or “Finance Managers”) 3. Groups also support user segmentation Beyond just access control, groups help segment users, which unlocks many valuable use cases for future development. For example: - An admin could send a notification to all users in a specific group with one click. - Reporting and analytics by group. - Role-specific feature flags or UI customization. - Easier integration with other systems (e.g., syncing users by group to a downstream tool). This gives flexibility and scalability: not just for us internally, but for our customers too as their teams and operations evolve. In short, Access Rules handle what users can do, and Groups handle how we manage and scale that access, while also setting the stage for more advanced features in the future.

Understanding Shipeezi's Supply Chain Process

The complete Supply Chain process at Shipeezi consists of three distinct systems: Supply Chain, Supplier, and Supply Chain+. Each plays a crucial role in different stages of the manufacturing and product delivery process. In this article, we'll differentiate these systems and explain their specific functionalities, detailing the process steps that can be carried out in each environment. - Supply Chain In the "Supply Chain" system, the request for manufacturing orders for a group of products is initiated. This is where the requesting company creates the manufacturing order, essentially a production request, and sends it to the party responsible for manufacturing the products, the Supplier. Within the Supply Chain environment, users can create, review, and manage manufacturing orders. Details such as product quantity, origin, and destination are defined here. Additionally, this system initiates the order tracking process, allowing for effective monitoring of production progress. 1- Creating Orders: Begin by creating a manufacturing order specifying the products and quantities needed. 2- Order Management: Manage your orders by tracking their progress, ensuring timely production, and overseeing their journey through the supply chain. 3- Visibility: Gain visibility into your orders, including details such as product quantities, origins, destinations, and production statuses. - Portal Supplier The "Portal Supplier" system is where the party responsible for manufacturing products requested by the Supply Chain client receives the production orders. Here, they visualize details such as origin, destination, and quantity of the products to be manufactured. The Supplier is responsible for manufacturing the products, managing the shipping process, and notifying the involved parties to carry out product delivery. In the Supplier environment, production orders are received and processed. Manufacturers have access to all necessary information to meet order specifications. They can confirm production, manage material inventory, and prepare products for shipment. Additionally, the system enables efficient communication between the Supplier and the client, ensuring transparent execution of the manufacturing process. 1- Order Processing: Suppliers receive and process your production orders, preparing them for manufacturing. 2- Manufacturing Oversight: Monitor the production process, communicate with Suppliers, and verify that your specifications are met. 3- Shipping Coordination: Collaborate with Suppliers to coordinate shipping arrangements, ensuring timely delivery to your specified destinations. - Supply Chain+ The Supply Chain+ system allows for the shipment of production orders manufactured by the Supplier to the destination requested by the Supply Chain. At this stage, orders are verified, accounted for, confirmed, and sent to the client who requested them. Users can track the shipping route and ensure that all generated orders are delivered to the destination on the date requested by the client. This system offers greater visibility and control over the delivery process, ensuring efficient supply chain management. In the Supply Chain+ environment, the focus is on logistics and transportation management. Users can track shipment status, monitor delivery progress, and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation. Additionally, the system provides detailed reports on supply chain performance, enabling in-depth analysis and identification of areas for improvement. 1- Shipping Confirmation: Verify and confirm your orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 2- Shipment Tracking: Track the status of your shipments in real-time, from dispatch to delivery. 3- Delivery Assurance: Receive notifications and updates regarding your deliveries, ensuring they reach their intended destinations on schedule. By leveraging Shipeezi's comprehensive supply chain systems, you can streamline your ordering process, monitor production progress, and ensure timely delivery of your products. Whether you're creating orders, overseeing manufacturing, or tracking shipments, our systems are designed to provide you with the tools and insights you need to manage your supply chain effectively. These three systems work together to facilitate the flow of production and product delivery. From the initial order to the final delivery, Shipeezi offers a comprehensive and integrated solution to efficiently manage the supply chain and meet customer demands effectively and timely.
